I am still not decided which route to take on my second south america trip. As last time I went to the south, I should go north now. There are a lot of interessting locations in the north that are worth the ride, like San Pedro de Atacama, Salar de Uyuni, Machou Pichu, Lake Titicaca. But there is one big problem: the weather. The rain season in Bilivia and Peru normaly starts mid december. The unpaved roads on the Altiplano and a flooded Salar de Uyuni seems not very enjoying to me.

So I worked out an alternativ route to the south. I will not go as far south as last time, just enough to come back north on the caratera austral. Infact I enjoyed the caratera austral very much four years ago. And even if it rains a lot, the road is no major problem. But as i said, I'm still not decided. Until now I think I will take a look at the weather conditions tuesday 18th of december, the day when the journey starts.
